About the IMFG Graduate Fellowship in Municipal Finance and Governance
The IMFG Graduate Fellowship on Municipal Finance and Governance is offered annually to a full-time graduate student who is enrolled at the University of Toronto, and who is engaged in studies related to municipal finance or governance.
To receive this award, students must be registered at the University of Toronto at a doctoral or master’s level on a full-time basis, and must be pursuing studies and/or research related to municipal finance or governance. Research in these areas must be part of the student’s graduate program. The holder of the award is required to do a presentation on their research at a seminar organized by the IMFG.
The award recipient will receive C$5,000, paid in two equal installments, one in September and one in January. The IMFG Fellowship may be held in conjunction with any other award.

This residency of this award is from September 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018. The holder of this Fellowship must be in residence in Toronto in order to permit full participation in the various events and seminars offered by the IMFG throughout the academic year. We recognize that Fellowship holders may need to be away from Toronto periodically for research purposes.
