Willy Kruh is the Global Chair for KPMG’s Consumer Markets practice as well as National Industry Leader in Canada. The Consumer Markets Industry includes food, drink, consumer products and retail sectors. Willy has substantial experience providing merger and acquisition, divestiture, initial public offering, restructuring and transaction services to a wide range of public and private companies nationally and globally.
Willy is also Partner-in-Charge of KPMG’s High Growth Markets practice in Canada, which mainly includes the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China), assisting companies with their inbound and outbound investment strategies, accessing capital and listing on various stock exchanges.
As Global Chairman Willy oversees Food, Drink, Consumer Goods and Retail Industry, Globally as well as all KPMG Services to 30 Global accounts including Nestle, Diageo, Unilever, PepsiCo, Kraft, Carrefour, Wal-Mart and SAB Miller.
In his role as KPMG’s Global and Canadian Consumer Markets spokesperson, Willy is a regular contributor of articles to major publications, speaker at various seminars, broadcast media and conferences on pertinent topics related to trends and issues in the consumer markets sectors as well as on multi-industry investment topics, both in Canada and China.
Based in Toronto, his career spans more than 29 years as an auditor and business advisor to major corporations with presence in Canada, the US, Asia and internationally.
He is a member of the Munk School of Global Affairs Advisory Board.
