Founded in the year 2000, the Comparative Program on Health and Society (CPHS) is a vital and growing research institute based at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. Generously funded by The Lupina Foundation, CPHS is designed to promote innovative, interdisciplinary, comparative perspectives on health, broadly defined. Our program builds on the scholarly strengths of the University of Toronto in the social sciences, humanities and public health. CPHS offers a range of fellowships to support research on the social determinants of health by the University of Toronto’s scholarly community and hosts a number of seminars and conferences every year. For more information on what fellowships are offered for the next academic year, please consult the website.
