The new Canada Hong Kong Library opens with art exhibition OPEN BOOK

OPEN BOOK (Mar 7-May 30) is co-presented with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office and curated by Professor Wendy Wong, Chair of Design, York U. The Asian Institute plans to program a lecture series related to the exhibition for Asian Heritage Month.

Toronto Hong Kong Film Festival Opening Night A Big Success

Asian Institute’s THKFF 2007 received tremendous support from the public and the community. The opening film, “Isabella” directed by Pang Ho-Cheung, was sold-out. The Munk Centre collaborated with Koo & Co to throw a well-attended opening night party.

Chancellor Announces the New Richard Charles Lee Canada Hong Kong Library

The new Library is named after the father of the Chancellor of the University of Toronto, The Honourable Vivienne Poy. The new Library in partnership with the Asian Institute heralds the opening with a new Cinema Series.
