Event Report: CSGJ Student Affiliates Winter Social 2026

On January 16th, 2026, the Centre for the Study of Global Japan hosted its annual Winter Social, welcoming back Student Affiliates from the winter holiday. Held in the AI Pathways Lounge, students enjoyed an assortment of delicious Japanese foods for lunch including sushi and gyoza. The event began with a brief introduction by CSGJ Director Phillip Lipscy, followed by a round of introductions by student affiliates. The event environment was warm and lively, as incoming affiliates got to know each other and existing affiliates caught up with their peers. We would like to thank our student affiliates for their enthusiasm towards the program and hope for their continued engagement with our upcoming events in the semester.
