How are middle powers navigating an international order in which established alignments are becoming more fluid and bilateral relationships increasingly carry strategic weight? Join our conversation with Professors T.V. Paul (McGill University) and Rohan Mukherjee (London School of Economics) to find out how two important middle powers, Canada and India, are expanding their diplomatic room for engagement both, with each other, and other major powers in a time of increasing geopolitical risk and uncertainty.

Both countries occupy consequential positions in the international system, yet bring different regional priorities, strategic relationships, and visions of global order to their diplomatic engagement. Their changing bilateral relationship offers a distinct window into the changing role of middle powers in shaping international institutions, building new partnerships, and responding to intensifying great-power competition.
