GII Final Symposium Booklet

After months of research, collaboration, and discussion among high school students and their university student mentors, the Global Ideas Institute culminates in a day-long symposium during which each group presents its recommendation. Leading experts in the field respond to the students’ recommendations, followed by an opportunity for discussion. This year, the symposium will be held on April 12, 2019.

At the Final Symposium on April 12, 2019, each team will present their strategy to address the complex challenge of plastic waste reduction. Each team will have 5 minutes to pitch their ideas in front of all GII participants at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.

Each presentation should include a Powerpoint presentation. A panel of experts will evaluate the presentations, ask questions, give feedback and offer further recommendations.

A poster session will also be held highlighting the solutions presented by all the teams. If you are interested in attending the poster session please visit: Poster Session Event Page
