Caroline Wesley

Caroline Wesley is a Master of Global Affairs student at the Munk School. She graduated from McGill University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Development Studies and a minor in East Asian Language and Literature. As a student, she lived in Taiwan, Panama, and the United States, where she interned for Global Affairs Canada (GAC), the United Nations, and the U.S. Department of State. Most recently she worked as an Analyst at GAC’s International Assistance Operations Bureau. Her primary research interests include digital diplomacy and the intersection of human rights with modern technological progress. She is also interested in policy research related to peacebuilding and sustainable development processes. Her previous research has focused on the migration of East and Southeast Asians to Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC); Chinese internet governance’s impact on the global geopolitical order; and the developmental impacts of transnational terrorism in the LAC region. Caroline currently serves as the Regional President of the Mosaic Institute’s UofMosaic Fellowship Program.
