International leaders share expertise at the Munk School, Spring 2026
During the spring of 2026, we welcomed three international leaders to speak to the Munk School community. It was a significant privilege to meet with these experienced leaders, each sharing their expertise for the future.
HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Turki AlFaisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud visited the Munk School on April 30, delivering a lecture A New Middle East for a New World Order to donors, faculty, members of the media, and leaders from the private sector.
His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Turki AlFaisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is Founder and Trustee of the King Faisal Foundation and Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies.
In addition, HRH has been an active participant in the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting, the Global Economic Symposium, and the Clinton Global Initiative’s Annual Meeting. HRH was a commissioner for the International Commission on Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament, which was a joint initiative of the Australian and Japanese Governments.
The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada
On June 19, the Honourable Anita Anand, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, joined the Munk School to discuss Pragmatic Diplomacy Abroad: Delivering for Canadians at Home. After her formal remarks, she was joined by our founding director, Janice Stein, in conversation.
Minister Anand is a Canadian politician, lawyer and former academic who has been Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2025. She was previously a Professor of Law at the University of Toronto.
His Excellency Mr. Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia
On June 23, His Excellency Mr. Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, delivered a talk at the Munk School entitled Resilience and Reliable Partnerships: Power of Small States in the New Geopolitical Landscape.
In a dialogue moderated by founding director Janice Stein, Prime Minister Plenković shared insights about Croatia's remarkable journey, challenges of a rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape and the importance of reinforcing sovereignty through cooperation with reliable partners.
