Munk School students join global leaders at the 2025 Concordia Annual Summit

Students from the Master of Global Affairs and Public Policy programs at the Munk School participated in the 2025 Concordia Annual Summit, a premier global affairs forum that convenes world leaders in business, government and the nonprofit sector to advance dialogue and forge partnerships for positive social impact.

Now in its fifteenth year, the Concordia Annual Summit has maintained its standing as the largest and most inclusive nonpartisan forum held alongside the UN General Assembly. Over four days in New York City, the 2025 Summit brought together heads of state, leading executives, scholars and changemakers to explore solutions to pressing global challenges in areas such as democracy, climate, health, and technology.

The Munk School delegation had the opportunity to meet with George Logothetis, Chairman of the Libra Group and Co-Chair of the Concordia Leadership Council, who reaffirmed his interest in an ongoing relationship with the Munk School. Impressed by the calibre and engagement of the students, Logothetis expressed his enthusiasm for continuing to welcome Munk School students to future Summits.

“I came to Concordia curious about what the conversations would hold and left with a deep respect for its role in global dialogue,” said Janelle Gunaratnam (MGA 2026). “The chance to see former adversaries share a stage and debate openly was unforgettable. It was inspiring to be part of a community that values both candor and cooperation.”

For Simranjeet Singh (MGA 2025), “My eyes were opened regarding the complexity of many of these problems – both big and small – and how communities around the world are making progress through challenging circumstances by applying novel techniques and building positive private, non-profit, and government collaborations.”

The Munk School’s Master of Public Policy (MPP) and Master of Global Affairs (MGA) programs offer an invaluable opportunity for students to engage directly in global dialogue. Both programs prepare future leaders to think creatively and drive positive change. Through rigorous academic training and hands-on experience, students develop the knowledge and skills needed to lead and innovate in an increasingly complex, interconnected world.
