Program Manager, Internships and Career Placement

Essyn brings 15 years of leadership experience and specialized training in the area of student services for professional graduate programs. She currently leads the development and implementation of internship and career development programs for the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program. In this role, she develops strategic partnerships with internship organizations from across sectors, and advises students on professional and career development.

Prior to that, Essyn managed a diverse portfolio for the Master of Global Affairs (MGA) program, comprising internships, international student exchanges, student leadership programs, professional development and alumni relations. Her U of T experience also includes working at the Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies and the Department of Political Science.

Essyn holds two Master degrees from Central European University in Budapest and the University of Bucharest and speaks four languages. She is on the Advisory Board for the Public Good Initiative, a pro-bono consulting organization run by MPP students, and serves as a mentor to recent immigrants through the TRIEC Mentoring Partnership.
