Julia Rao

Julia Rao is the Global Internship Coordinator for the Munk School's Master of Global Affairs program. Julia has over ten years of experience building partnerships, designing and implementing programs, and working with volunteers and interns globally.  Most recently, she led the Global Affairs Canada’s International Youth Internship Program at Youth Challenge International.

Julia holds a Master of Arts in Comparative International and Development Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Toronto. Her research focused on ethical international volunteerism and culturally relevant pedagogy. 

Julia looks forward to supporting Master of Global Affairs (MGA) students in finding enriching global internships that foster knowledge sharing, cross-cultural collaboration and professional growth.
