Mustafa Aryan

Mustafa Aryan was recently awarded a prestigious Afghan Challenge Fund fellowship by the Open Society University Network and works as a part-time Research Officer supporting Professor Dani Nedal in his work on global security and foreign policy issues. Aryan has over 12 years of combined public and private sector experience. He is the project manager of the Tea Circle in the Asian Institute at the Munk School and director of the Security, Gender, and Development Institute, which operates as an international volunteer network of experts producing research and events focused on a gendered analysis of international security topics. Additionally, Aryan is a Salzburg Global Seminar Fellow and a Board Member of the Canadian International Council—Toronto Branch. He often writes op-eds in English and Persian, several of which have been published in well-known international media outlets. Aryan holds a master's degree in International Security from the University of Reading in the UK. His areas of interest include diplomacy, foreign policy, intelligence, and international security.
