Symposium

After months of research, collaboration, and discussion, GII culminates in a final symposium

Each group of high school students presents their unique solution for the year’s challenge topic to professors and leading experts in the field, who act as expert judges to observe and provide feedback on the recommendations.

The day-long event consists of three major components:

Solution pitch
Students present their innovative solutions in front of their peers, mentors, and members of the U of T community
Poster presentation
Student teams create and display a poster reflecting on their problem-solving journey throughout the GII program
Expert feedback and panel discussion
Students receive feedback from U of T professors and community members, along with leading experts in the challenge topic field - a unique opportunity to learn from experts from outside the school community
