The Global Migration Lab is a hub for collaboration, interdisciplinary research & public dialogue on global migration.

Housed at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, in the heart of one of the world’s great migration cities, the Global Migration Lab (GML) supports teaching and research on all aspects of forced and voluntary migration.

Our research is faculty-driven and covers topics such as:

  • Displaced populations
  • South-south migration
  • Class and gender
  • Labour migration in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia
  • Migrant health
  • Religion and nationalism
  • Undocumented migration
  • Comparative migration and refugee law and policy
