Melissa Baker

Melissa is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto. She is due to complete her PhD in political science from the University of California, Merced in May of 2021.

Melissa specializes in political psychology and political behaviour. She puts a great deal of focus on research questions about how emotions and affective entities influence political attitudes and behaviour. Her work uses a variety of methods including experiments and neuroscience to explain how individuals process their political worlds.
