Ciara McGarry is in the second year of her MA in Eurasian Studies at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. She holds an BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto. Her research interests include authoritarianism, nationalism, ethnicity, protests, repression, and migration, especially in Russia and post-Soviet Central Asia.
