Noshin Ullah is a Master of Public Policy candidate at the University of Toronto. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University and her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto. She completed her articles at an immigration firm and was called to the Ontario Bar.
Throughout law school she conducted research in the areas of health and immigration law/policy. Her interest in academia and experience working with patients/vulnerable groups has led her to conduct clinical and legal research on issues effecting these populations. Noshin is particularly interested in the use of automated decision-making tools in immigration processes and how advanced digital technologies intersect with migration, citizenship and equity. This also encompasses the corresponding legal principles that govern their use. She aspires to create a meaningful difference by contributing to developments in research, policy, and social change.
