Yunze Ji is pursuing a combined Juris Doctor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and a Master of Arts in European and Eurasian Studies at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. Through his legal education, Yunze has worked with several Canadian legal clinics providing immigration and refugee law assistance to migrants in Canada. He has also worked with a Bulgarian NGO that provides legal representation to refugees and detained migrants. These experiences have shaped his research interests in migration, legal status, and migrant rights, which focus on how immigration law and policy affect migrants’ life choices
