Connect with the PPG community
The Public Policy & Governance (PPG) program offers students the opportunity to engage with a dynamic community of scholars, practitioners, and peers. Students have access to faculty and fellows who are closely connected to current policy affairs, as well as opportunities to learn directly from policy professionals working across government, non-profit, and private sectors.
Through the broader Munk School community, students can take part in events, initiatives, and networks that support learning and professional development. The Undergraduate Public Policy Student Association (UPPSA) also plays an important role in building community by hosting annual policy-focused events where students can meet, collaborate, and connect with fellow students and faculty members.
Undergraduate Public Policy Student Association (UPPSA)
The Undergraduate Public Policy Students' Association is the democratically elected student union representing the community of Public Policy Major students at the University of Toronto. UPPSA is committed to supporting career development and building its student body’s professional network and portfolio. As the primary liaison between students, faculty, and the broader policy community, our student union plays a central role in advocating for student interests, enhancing the academic experience, and fostering a cohesive and engaged student body.
At UPPSA, our mission is to cultivate lifelong professional relationships for public policy students. We recognize the transformative power of connections in the realm of public policy and are dedicated to creating an environment where students can forge meaningful relationships with peers, esteemed faculty members, policy professionals, and industry experts. UPPSA’s mandate therefore extends beyond representation to actively supporting students’ academic, professional, and personal development. The association is committed to equipping students with the tools and opportunities needed to navigate careers in public policy and related fields.
