Experiential Learning Opportunities at CEES

At CEES we believe that experiential learning and fieldwork are central to the program as they expand academic training. Through field seminars and research opportunities students apply their classroom learning to real-world challenges, gaining first-hand insights into the political, social, and cultural dynamics of the region. These immersive experiences not only sharpen their critical thinking and research skills, but also prepare CEES MA graduates for impactful careers in government, international organizations, NGOs, and academia.

Experiential Learning Workshop Held in Budapest and Brno

Debating History in Central European Context

This summer term CEES students participated in an immersive experiential learning workshop held in Budapest and Brno. The course combined a series of lectures, seminar discussions with visits to museums and sites of historical memory. The intensive field course explored the complex history of Central Europe from the end of World War I to the present day. This fully funded opportunity was made possible through the generous support of the Centre’s donors.
