Opening Horizons: Students Awarded Cvachovec Foundation Undergraduate Travel Scholarships to Explore Central and Eastern Europe
April 22, 2024
Experiential learning is a hallmark of the European Affairs program at the Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies. This spring 13 students were awarded the Cvachovec Foundation Undergraduate Travel Scholarship to participate in academic exchanges, language studies, or summer internships in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia.
The awards have funded various educational opportunities that range from studying international security at Masaryk University to volunteering at an animal sanctuary near Warsaw and many more.
A primary motivation behind the scholarship is to give students a chance to discover and study the varied cultures and history of Central and Eastern Europe. Through field experience, students will acquire valuable insights into the intricacies of European affairs and cultivate a nuanced perspective on international relations.
