The Peace, Conflict and Justice (PCJ) program is designed to help students understand some of the most pressing challenges facing societies today: conflict, violence, inequality, and the pursuit of justice. Through an interdisciplinary curriculum, students explore how conflicts emerge, how they affect communities, and how institutions, policies, and collective action can contribute to more peaceful and just societies. The program combines rigorous academic training with opportunities to engage with real-world problems, preparing students to analyze complex issues across local, national, and global contexts.

The structure of the PCJ program is built around three key components:

  • Core curriculum: interdisciplinary courses exploring major issues related to peace, conflict, and justice
  • Innovative pedagogical approaches: emphasis on experiential learning and applied work beyond the classroom
  • Research skills: training in both qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze conflict and justice processes
