Event Report: 2025 Student Affiliate Winter Social

On Jan 19th, 2025, the Centre for the Study of Global Japan held its annual Winter Social as the first student affiliate event of 2025. The event was a warm and welcoming space for affiliates to reconnect after the winter break. Students enjoyed an assortment of delicious Japanese foods for lunch, including gyoza, sushi bowls and rolls. On arrival, the student affiliates participated in a lively game of Taboo, guessing Japanese-associated words based on hints. Following the ice breaker, affiliates spent time catching up and shared their experiences in the program from the fall semester. We would like to thank the student affiliates who attended the Winter Social and hope that affiliates will continue to attend and enjoy our events.
