Waterfront Toronto
1:00-3:00pm
Waterfront Toronto
Waterfront Toronto is the public agency charged with revitalizing Toronto's lakefront. We have a unique operating model, mobilizing public resources to attract private investment and catalyze job creation. Through collaboration across all three levels of government, we carefully choose waterfront revitalization projects and deliver them in partnership with real estate developers, non-profit organizations and community groups — to ensure those projects deliver economically, socially and ecologically. During this field trip, you'll hear from our senior policy leaders about how this approach has shaped the city's increasingly vibrant waterfront, and take a walking tour along the lakefront to see how some of our major projects have come together.
Aga Khan Museum
9:00am-3:00pm
A respected centre of education and learning, the Aga Khan Museum promotes pluralism and intercultural dialogue providing unique insights and new perspectives into Islamic civilizations and culture. Hear from the Aga Khan Museum's leadership about their career journeys, the importance of the Museum as a growing global organization, and its influence on public policy issues like climate change, migration and refugees. Join us as we discuss how the work of the Aga Khan Museum addresses some of these questions and more. You will also have a unique opportunity to be introduced to the Museum's current exhibitions and some time to experience them yourselves.
