The WHO's implementation of international health development policies in Central Africa between 1956 and 2000 was the central theme of this conference. It looked at issues relating to the history of this international organisation in Africa, and in particular the history of the creation of the WHO's African office in Brazzaville, its institutional trajectory, etc. Lastly, discussions focused on the role played by the WHO in the health situation in Central African countries. This created an opportunity to rethink international health development policies in Africa in their historical and political context.
