Daniel Corral
Biography
Daniel (Danny) Corral is an Assistant Professor of higher education in the Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. His research broadly examines student pathways into and through higher education, with a particular focus on how institutional and government policies and finance shape students’ experiences. Much of his scholarship centres on the United States and spans three areas: college pricing and affordability, immigration and higher education, and Minority-Serving Institutions. His research has been published in The Journal of Higher Education, The Review of Higher Education, American Behavioral Scientist, and AERA Open, and has been featured in The New York Times and cited in U.S. congressional testimony and committee reports. Danny earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
