Dario Toman

Dario Toman is an Assistant Professor (contractually limited term appointment) at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Toronto and applies empirical microeconomic methods to study topics related to health, political economy, and development. One strand of his research studies the consequences of partisan local elections for electoral competition, candidate selection, and governance. A second strand of his research examines how electoral and judicial institutions shape gendered access to healthcare and justice.
