Biography
From the narrow alleys in Brazilian favelas to behind rebel lines in the Republic of Congo and into the corridors of power in Ottawa, David Morley has spent 45 years working for international development and the rights of children.
A Member of the Order of Canada and recipient of Honorary Doctor of Laws Degrees from the University of British Columbia and Carleton University, David is an internationally recognized expert on development, humanitarian response, and child well-being who led UNICEF Canada, Save the Children Canada and Medecins sans Frontieres (MSF) Canada. He has written two books, both of which were Canadian bestsellers. He is Co-Chair of the Stephen Lewis Foundation and sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Network for Women and Children’s Health, Catalyste+, and the Green Durham Association.
