Jason Eligh is a Senior Expert with the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime. In this capacity, he works on all aspects of illicit drugs and drug markets. His areas of focus cover a diversity of themes, including research design and implementation, drug market inventories and analyses, criminal actor and supply chain mapping, national and regional threat assessments, and strategic policy response planning innovation. He brings over twenty-five years of experience in his field, including fifteen years as a United Nations official. In addition to his current role, he is also the Senior Technical Advisor to the East and Southern Africa Commission on Drugs; a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Illicit Economies and Development; and, a recurring special session lecturer at the University of Hong Kong.
