Jasper Schiedel

Jasper Schiedel is a PhD student in the department of Political Science at the University of Toronto where he works at the intersection of political economy and economic geography focusing on questions surrounding innovation, knowledge, growth, and space. Under the supervision of Professor Darius Ornston, Jasper’s research project investigates the relationship between the multi-scalar governance and firm-state relations of innovation-based growth and spatial inequality in advanced capitalist economies. Jasper holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Calgary and a Master of Science in Regional and Urban Planning Studies from the London School of Economics.
