Biography
Julia Brahy is a Master of Global Affairs candidate at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, specializing in Environmental Studies. She is the first-ever recipient of the CARE Scholarship for her work in international climate action. Passionate about sustainability and environmental policy, Julia serves as Co-Executive Producer at Beyond the Headlines, where she leads public policy analysis and coverage of international political developments through a climate-focused lens. Her work includes episodes on carbon market networks, climate awareness in Canadian education systems, and renewable energy innovation.
Julia is also the Policy Stream Co-Lead at the Munk School Environmental Working Group, where she serves as a chief editor, reviewing and refining articles, op-eds, policy briefs, and research reports for publication. Her professional experience includes guiding climate action strategies as a teaching assistant for The Sustainability Imperative and contributing to climate-centered donor engagement at the World Bank. A French and American dual-citizen, Julia is committed to advancing global climate solutions through inclusive policy and media innovation.
