Sean Mullin is an accomplished leader and expert in economics, technology, and public policy, with extensive experience at the highest levels of government and founding and running one of Canada's most innovative think tanks.

Mullin recently served as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada for Economic Affairs. In this role, he worked closely with the Prime Minister and senior members of the government to develop and launch major economic initiatives including Canada's package of Clean Economy Investment Tax Credits, Canada's Sovereign AI Compute Strategy, National Housing Plan, Immigration Levels Plan  and Canada's annual Budget and Fall Economic Statement.

Prior to joining the Prime Minister's Office, Mullin founded and led the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship, Canada's first non-partisan think tank focused on innovation policy. Over eight years, he grew the organization from concept to a team of 25+ professionals, raised over $25M in funding, and established it as a leading voice on innovation and economic policy.

Earlier in his career, Mullin served in the Office of the Premier of Ontario as Director of Policy, Deputy Director of Policy, and Senior Advisor for Economic and Fiscal Policy, where he advised on finance, energy, economic development, innovation, and labour policy, and supported the development of multiple provincial budgets.

Mullin is frequently sought out as an expert by decision makers and policy leaders, and has been featured in major media outlets including CBC, CTV, the Globe and Mail, and Bloomberg.

Mullin has an MBA from the University of Oxford, an MA in Economics from McGill University, and an Honours BSc in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
