Biography

Templar Kalundu Iga is a policy strategist and institutional advisor specializing in Africa-focused public policy, government relations, and market expansion. He is the Managing Partner of Preponderant Advisory, a Toronto-based firm advising institutions and enterprises on market entry, strategic growth, and cross-border engagement across African markets.

He is also the Founder and Director of Policy & Global Strategy at the Canadian Centre for African Affairs and Policy Research (CCAAPR), where he leads the Centre’s institutional strategy, external partnerships, and policy positioning within Canada’s evolving Africa framework. In this role, he works closely with policymakers, academic institutions, and international stakeholders to advance rigorous research and sustained engagement between Canadian and African markets.

Born in Kampala and raised in Nairobi and Toronto, Kalundu Iga considers Toronto his hometown. After a decade of consulting across Africa’s principal economic centres, he returned to Toronto as his global base, maintaining an active advisory footprint across emerging markets.
