MGA Student Case Study: TransMilenio

Master of Global Affairs students Tiolúwani Aderibigbe, Larissa Chan, Samara Lewis,Tabitha Oni, and Divya Rajagopal analyze the benefits of the Latin American transportation service, TransMilenio. TransMilenio operates in Bogotá, Columbia, and provides a valuable service to many. The system's implementation has also opened the conversation about ways to achieve equitable societies through shared public resources and sustainable growth in Columbia. This case study analyzes the economic and social benefits of the transportation service, but also the areas where it needs infrastructure, violence reduction, and gender equality improvements.
