About the Event:
 
This panel will explore the multi-faceted nature of diaspora formation through the exodus of Hong Kongers over the past five years. Featuring four presentations on global advocacy efforts, community-based writing project, the resettlement process, and ethnic media representation, the panel will examine the Hong Kong diaspora formation within Canada as well as its multi-embedded global contexts. Following these presentations, the speakers and audience will engage in discussions about the broader implications of such diaspora formation in today’s multipolar world order.
