Master's Students Win Top Prize for Tackling Major Climate Challenges
Last week, 15 MGA and MPP students from the Munk School competed in the Global Public Policy Network (GPPN) Conference and Case Competition, tackling major climate challenges alongside top public policy schools worldwide.
All four Munk teams performed exceptionally, and we’re thrilled that one team won the top prize!
Aditya Datta, Nicole Harris, Maggie Keyworth, and Claire Wilson—students in our dual degree program with the London School of Economics —developed a bold debt-for-nature swap proposal to protect the Sundarbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest. Their project showed how sovereign debt restructuring can fund conservation, support local communities, and boost economic resilience.
Huge congratulations to all our students and to our dedicated coaches—Prof. Daniyal Zuberi, Alexander Wood, Sarah Case, George Vegh, and presentation coach Paula Rosen.
