Munk School hosts the first CARE Sustainability in a Changing Climate Case Competition

The Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy hosted the first CARE Sustainability in a Changing Climate Case Competition!

Graduate students from eight teams representing the four CARE partner institutions— University of Toronto, University of British ColumbiaSciences Po’s Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) and University of Guelph —collaborated online over 10 days with the guidance of a coach to develop comprehensive policy solutions for a case challenge focused on Germany's energy transition. The Climate Adaptation, Resilience and Empowerment (CARE) program is focused on shaping a new generation of climate-conscious global leaders and citizens.

The teams presented their innovative solutions to a panel of judges from the public and private sectors and faculty members from the four institutions: Ben Bradshaw, Zoë Kroeker, Stephen Lucas, and Eleanor Morrison.

The winning team—a collaboration of students from Sciences Po and the University of Toronto: Naomi Trick, Kathryn McQuillan, Cassidy MacNeil, Sharif Fatourehchi, and Thomas Loubeyres—will receive €500 prize and have their solution published on the CARE and Munk School websites.

This exciting initiative was made possible through the generous support of the DRG Foundation
