Ron Deibert made an officer of the Order of Canada

University Professor and Director of the Citizen Lab, Ron Deibert has been made an officer of the Order of Canada for his leadership and expertise in digital technology, security and human rights, and for his groundbreaking contributions to cybersecurity around the globe.

Since its creation in 1967, the Order of Canada has honoured more than 7,600 people whose service has shaped our society, whose innovations have ignited our imaginations, and whose compassion has united our communities.
