​​​​​Neekoo Collett is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto, where her research focuses on state use of repression against minorities. Her dissertation explains the effects of international human rights pressures on state selection of repressive tactics, using the Iranian government’s repression of a religious minority as a case study. Neekoo is a recipient of both the Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Master's and Doctoral scholarships, and is a former Doctoral Fellow at the Trudeau Centre for Peace, Conflict, and Justice. Beyond academia, Neekoo has worked and consulted for numerous genocide prevention organizations.
