Biography

Semra Sevi is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science. She has an Honours BA and MA in political science and history from the University of Toronto and a PhD in political science from the Université de Montréal. Before coming to the University of Toronto, Sevi was a Banting postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University. Broadly speaking, she is interested in voting behaviour, political representation, public opinion, legislative politics, women & politics, partisanship and political methodology. Sevi has published in journals including Canadian Journal of Political Science, Electoral Studies, Legislative Studies Quarterly, Political Science Research and Methods, and Politics & Gender.
