Shai Oksenberg
Biography
Shai Oksenberg is a PhD candidate in Public Policy at Tel Aviv University, where her research examines consumption-targeted innovation as a policy strategy for addressing gendered and socio-economic inequalities. She holds an MA in Public Policy with a thesis on gendered innovation, as well as an LL.B. combined with Women and Gender Studies (summa cum laude) from Tel Aviv University. Her academic work includes peer-reviewed publications such as a 2025 article in Research Policy and contributions to the UN CEDAW Commentary. Shai's scholarly activities are complemented by teaching roles in clinical legal education and human rights, research assistantships with leading scholars, and significant policy advisory experience addressing gender equality in international, national, municipal and non-governmental contexts. Her interdisciplinary expertise bridges public policy, legal studies, and gender research, integrating rigorous empirical inquiry with applied policy practice in the fields of innovation, gender, and social justice.
