Biography
Tianyi Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics. Having received his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020, Wang is an applied microeconomist working primarily at the intersection of political economy and economic history.
Before coming to the University of Toronto, Wang was a postdoctoral fellow in the Industrial Relations Section at Princeton University as well as at the Center of Economic Behavior and Inequality at the University of Copenhagen.
His current research focuses on gauging the historical political impacts of media and information technologies in America. His research also involves studying how technologies affect health and labour market outcomes.
