Biography
Gabriel Eidelman is Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, where he serves as director of the Urban Policy Lab, with a joint appointment at the Institute for Management and Innovation. He teaches courses on urban politics, policy, and governance in the Munk School's Master of Public Policy program as well as IMI's Master of Urban Innovation program.
Gabriel’s research focuses on cities, urban governance, and intergovernmental relations in Canada and North America. His work has been published in numerous journals, including Cities, Urban Affairs Review, and the Journal of Urban Affairs, and has appeared in news coverage by the Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, Maclean’s, and the New York Times. He has authored several reports for policy audiences, including for the Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance, the Institute for Research on Public Policy, and the Canadian Urban Institute.
